We are heading to the casino tonight for dinner and some blackjack to celebrate my mum’s 60th birthday. My dad used to say, “scared money never wins.” So with that thought in mind, I will be entering Crown Casino with $50 that I will happily part with. I want them to have it – I don’t need it. Let’s hope this trickery works. [update: It didn’t.]
My dad left me with a few pearls of wisdom before he passed away. My favourite — “the anticipation is 90% of the journey.” He also said, “owning a car will keep you poor.” I think he was just trying to keep me off the road!
